Peter Crouch remains committed to playing for England despite starting just one match in 13 months. The Tottenham striker was reported to be ready to walk away from England, but sources close to the player say he will continue to make himself available.
If I was Cappello I’d kick Crouch off the team and make an example out of him. To many me first players on this England team. It’s not like Crouch was scoring goals in brunches for Tottenham this season. Let’s face it Tottenham best striker is Russian who scored a hat trick this weekend in European qualifying.

Wolves have confirmed “negotiations are ongoing” and have said that reports that the deal has already been done are “premature”.
Nice little fee for Tottenham to recoup. Always liked Jamie O’Hara. He may not be flashy but you know what you are going to get week in and week out.
Veteran German striker Miroslav Klose is set to quit Bayern Munich to join Spanish side Valencia. Klose, who is 33 on Thursday, has also been linked with a move to Everton. Bild (in German)
I’d rather live in Valencia than Liverpool besides Valencia can also offer Champions League football.

That figure is cheap for Luka Modric. I’d be sending an offer over right away.

Whoever is going to be the next coach of Aston Villa is going to have to put out a lot of fires with players wanting to leave.
Villa, in the meantime, have been making discreet enquiries about Real Madrid’s out-of-favour mdifielder Fernando Gago, 25. Insidefutbol.com
Fernando Gago is a perfect example of a player you can buy low and sell high in the future. The talent is still there. Liverpool should forget about Jordan Henderson and make a call about Gago.

Fair price all things considered. Arsenal should at least consider it.

Fulham captain Danny Murphy, 34, has told the club’s hierarchy to appoint him as the new manager, but Martin Jol appears most likely to succeed Mark Hughes. Daily Mail
Martin O’Neill is a fool for leaving Aston Villa on the eve of last season. He’d be a bigger fool for taking over Fulham a club. Fulham would be a fool for wanting Martin Jol who would pull a Mark Hughes and leave the second something better comes along.
