Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is interested in Bolton’s in-form Swedish striker Johan Elmander, who is out of contract in the summer. Daily Mirror
I know Liverpool are in a new era in the transfer market. I also know Johan Elmander on a free transfer is something Liverpool should look at but this signing isn’t going to excite the Anfield faithful.

I’ve never been a Cisse fan. I can see why clubs want to sign him but when he isn’t scoring Cisse does nothing else for you. Yes, I know you can say that about many other strikers too.

What a Debbie Downer

Roy won’t be in charge by then. Hear his quote right after talking about how sad it was that he’d have to “put the make-up on again” as the game’ll be on TV? Wow, like LFC don’t have a televised game…he’s a shambles, totally embarrassing. Would be hilarious if it wasn’t my club.
Cisse is ok if you set up your team for his strengths a la Auxerre and Panathinaikos. His last season at LFC where he was derided finished with him getting 19 goals so he IS a goal machine but he has no tactical acumen. Watching him and Baros upfront for LFC 5 years ago was amazing in that the players would run at the corner flags as often as at goal.
