Chelsea defender John Terry is seething over Craig Bellamy’s insults, directed at the former England captain after Manchester City’s 4-2 win on Saturday, saying: “People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.” (Various)

Must admit I was delighted to see Manchester City win this weekend. I picked Chelsea to win the league this year but it’s looking more and more this whole John Terry mess is going to cause Chelsea to lose there slender lead.

Birmingham City are interested in signing Kris Boyd from Rangers, with Blues set to send scouts to see the striker play for Scotland against the Czech Republic on Wednesday. Daily Mail

Makes sense considering Rangers most likely can’t tie Boyd to a new deal and no matter how great the old firm games are to a Scottish player, everyone of them at some want to test themselves at the highest level of football.

Aaron Ramsey’s broken leg is not as bad as the fracture suffered by team-mate Eduardo, and the Wales international could return for the north Londoners in only six months’ time. Daily Mirror

I’m of two minds regarding Ryan Shawcross’s tackle on Ramsey. On one hand it’s what the press call a “comitted tackle.” The issue I have with this is the English press love players who charge in like Shawcross did. In most of Europe that would be considered dirty. In English it’s considered fair because the intent isn’t there. If English football will continue praising players who win the ball at all cost, these injuries will occur.
