Report: Manchester United Line Up Barcelona Boss Pep Guardiola To Succeed Sir Alex Ferguson
News of the World claims that Pep Guardiola, the Barcelona coach, could take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United within the next two years.
Pep Guardiola has proven to be a smart guy, plus he doesn’t hurt that Pep seems to have the Midas touch since taking over Barcelona. Now I can understand if Pep does decide to leave Barcelona (I don’t think he will mind you.) but Guardiola isn’t going to be the one to push Sir Alex Ferguson into retirement. You don’t want to be the coach who replaces S.A.F. It’s a no win situation and quite frankly a shadow no one will be able to fill. Now being the guy to replace the guy who replaced S.A.F has some appeal, a situation like year isn’t going to occur for many years. Plus it’s insulting to Sir Alex Ferguson too even read this reports, most of them just conjuncture.
