Everton Eyeing Valencia Midfielder Ever Banega – Report
The Toffees are reportedly on the verge of signing the young Argentine…
Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly on the verge of pulling off a major coup by signing Argentine prospect Ever Banega to the Goodison Park club.
According to a report in The Daily Post, the Toffees boss claimed that he hopes to sign two players in “the next 48 hours”.
The newspaper claims that one of these additions is the 21-year-old Valencia midfielder, who will move on a season long loan with the option of a permanent move to Merseyside.
Like Banega, if his attitude didn’t over take his talent he’d be right up there with fellow Argentinians Mascherano and Gago. Don’t really see this as a coup either since Banega isn’t in Valencia’s plans and Everton and Valencia already have a previous history with loan deals as they took Manuel Fernandes on loan back in 2008.
Werder Bremen hopeful of agreeing Pizarro deal
Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs claims he is closing in on the signing of Claudio Pizarro from Chelsea.
Pizarro, 30, spent last season on loan at the Bundesliga club and scored 28 goals in all competitions.
He has since returned to the Blues, where he has vowed to take his chance to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s team, but Bremen remain confident they can lure him back to the Bundesliga – this time on a permanent deal.
Chelsea I’m sure is also hoping Werder Bremen agrees to a Pizarro deal. Don’t think many Chelsea fans would notice or bemoan Pizarro’s departure.
