Bayern still hopeful of signing Bosingwa
Bayern Munich claim they are “waiting for contact” from Chelsea as they step up their bid to sign Portugal full-back Jose Bosingwa.
The Bundesliga giants’ general manager Uli Hoeness says the Blues promised to contact them after Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Manchester United, which Chelsea won on penalties.
Don’t understand why Chelsea would even consider selling Bosingwa considering any transfer fee proposed isn’t more than what Chelsea paid Porto for his services last year. Granted it was only one game but Chelsea were night and day better in the second of the Community Shield once Bosingwa came into the game in the second half replacing an ineffective Branislav Ivanović at right back. Plus not many defenders can claim to hold their own against Lionel Messi but Bosingwa did a wonderful job basically making him a non factor in both Champions League games last season.
Maxwell Surprised By Barcelona Quality
Maxwell believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lift Barcelona’s level even higher and admitted that he has been surprised by how great he has found things at his new club.
My first reaction to reading this was to think Maxwell must not of watched many Barcelona games last year cause it was made clear Barcelona is of the highest quality. Wanted to also mentioned that I liked this transfer for Barcelona which went with under the radar this season. Maxwell was frozen out of Inter with the arrival of Davide Santon but should rebound this year and add depth the the Barcelona back line.
