Vodacom Challenge: Orlando Pirates Two Good For Manchester City
The opening game of this year’s Vodacom Challenge ended in victory for Orlando Pirates over Manchester City, thanks to a penalty from Lucas Thwala and a fine long range shot from Phenyo Mongale.
The same principal applies here as I mentioned in my Manchester United article that these games are merely little more than a fitness test. Still won’t stop me from making fun of Manchester City here who lost 2-0 to South Africa’s Orlando Pirates. Interesting how Chelsea won against a better Seattle team 2-0 yesterday, United just got by but still won won themselves 3-2. Manchester City with all these new faces will take some time to gel together it appears.
