Emmanuel Adebayor Joins Manchester City
Manchester City have finally completed the signing of Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor.
The striker has signed a five-year-deal with the club, and becomes their third major attacking signing of the summer. The fee is undisclosed, but rumoured to be around £25 million.
You would have to think at this point if Manchester City were to jump into the top four in England that Arsenal would be the favorites to drop down. My reaction to this transfer isn’t so much how Adebayor will do for City but what Arsene Wenger has up his sleeves to please a fan base which is starting to run out of practice. Provided Arsenal replace Adebayor with the proper player don’t image too many Arsenal fans regretting the transfer of a player who famously said “If you want me to play like Thierry Henry pay me like him.”
