Michael Owen Shirts Not Doing Big Business
Note – No Euro Watch today since it was basically all about the love fest between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid.
Michael Owen Shirts Not Selling At Manchester United Megastore
The free transfer of Michael Owen has sparked no scramble for the player’s shirt in the club’s megastore.
Manchester United’s Michael Owen coup, bought on a free transfer after the former England international’s contract at relegated outfit Newcastle United expired, has not proved popular in terms of shirt sales, as one employee at the club’s megastore revealed nobody had requested a Michael Owen shirt.
To be fair this article also said Michael Owen hasn’t given his shirt number yet but still you’d figure they would take pre orders. Basically posting this because I’m joining just about everyone else in knocking the new Manchester United jersey. Twenty years from now don’t imagine many people will be wanting to purchase these current jersey as part of a retro jersey collection. Someone posted the new United jerseys remind me of the old Vancouver Canuck jerseys of the late 70′s/early 80′s. Could kind of see it myself.

Seriously what are you 12? Go to the Man Utd store link below.

See the top right hand side where it clearly says “pre order your Owen shirts today!” I’m sure that pre order is doing brisk business and I’m sure once he has a number they will be a massive amount of fans who are going to replace their CR7 jerseys with Michael Owen jerseys.
