Michael Owen Signs With Manchester United
Michael Owen has been confirmed as a Manchester United player. The striker has signed a two-year deal to play at Old Trafford and no transfer was paid as the former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle forward was a free agent.
Newcastle fans can now join Liverpool fans in their scorn of Michael Owen. In his defense the white Louis Saha had to do what is best for his career and joining Manchester United was possibly his last chance to shine on some of the grandest stages of European football. An interesting thing to look out for next season is a comparison between Carlos Tevez and Michael Owen as the former’s departure allowed Owen to join United.

So stoked to have Owen at united. Think its a great move by Sir Alex. Hes had a rough couple of years at newcastle but his goal to game ratio is still top notch and he was class at real madrid and jsut wasn’t given a fair shot. I won’t attempt to predict how this move is going to work out because who knows how his knees will hold up and how ambitious he is, but with some luck i believe we could be looking back at owens career in years to come with the main focus being on his time with united. If it doesn’t work out then nothing has really been lost. If it does then owen has the ability to be top scorer in the premiership, get the medals hes always deserved and become englands top ever goal scorer.
