Most likely a short conversation and Guardiola’s answer should be that Hleb’s future is watching the likes of Messi, Xavi, and Andrés Iniesta from the bench.

Sunderland could do a lot worse than Maniche who performances improve when the stage is bigger. Kinda of a headcase but a tireless midfielder who would become a fan favorite if he does decide to move.

Rough day, Ireland and the US both had draws. And the Ireland had it in the bag too. As for you its a shame about Portugal, it will be a sad day if Portugal does not qualify. I might cry if I dont get to see Ronaldo in South Africa.

Ireland were dissapointing. Great start but as so often happens total inability to kill off the game. I don’t think andy reid is the answer but if duff and stephan reid wern’t injured and stephan ireland wasn’t mental then the midfield could be so much better.

You will see Ronaldo in South Africa as they play a friendly against them on Wednesday which I’m sure they will win 4-1 but come 2010 Portugal would need to win their remaining 5 games and even then they might still not make it.

Needless to say I was very wrong on the above. 1) Game is on Tuesday and 2) They play in Switzerland. Needless to say I haven’t been trying to keep myself updated on the National team for the sake of my happiness.
