D.C. United announced Friday that Argentine World Cup veteran Marcelo Gallardo will be leaving MLS and returning to former club River Plate.

Another high profile player one and done in MLS. Considering D.C United didn’t make the playoffs last year after spending big bucks on Gallardo it’s for the best the player gets to finish his career back with his childhood club River Plate.
