MLS : 2009 Generation Adidas signings
MLS announced Wednesday the 2009 class of Generation adidas players that will enter the professional ranks for the 2009 MLS season. MLS teams and adidas identified nine players and signed them to MLS contracts before the completion of their NCAA eligibility. All are eligible to be selected in the upcoming 2009 MLS SuperDraft.
One of the things MLS does right is spot young players and brings them along through the Generation Adidas program. Some previous Generation Adidas players are Tim Howard, Michael Bradley, DaMarcus Beasley, Maurice Edu, and Jozy Altidore. Below will be the list of this year Generation Adidas players. Will be interesting to see which, if any of the players listed below end up making an impact in the coming years.
