Argentina coach Diego Maradona has responded to Terry Butcher’s grumblings about the infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal by claiming that England were gifted the World Cup in 1966…
Gives a round of applause to Diego Maradona. Like I said last week who cares what Terry Butcher thinks about Maradona. He was the best player in the world and Argentina were worthy winners of that World Cup back in 1986. Taking a jab at England’s soccer culture was just icing on the cake.
Will Renew My Contract Soon – Xavi
Barcelona midfield maestro, Xavi Hernández has calmed the fears of his club and his fans by declaring that he will sign a contract extension shortly following drawn-out negotiations.
This kind of reminds me of the Lampard and Chelsea saga except that Frank Rijkaard isn’t coaching an Italian club urging Xavi to join him.
