West Ham are close to agreeing a deal to sign former Deportivo La Coruna striker Diego Tristan, 32, who is now a free agent after a spell in Italian football. (Daily Star)
Nothing says your club is having financial troubles then bringing in a 32 year old player on a free transfer. At least the risk is minimal on West Ham’s part.
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso could still join Juventus as the Italians continue to be linked with manager Rafael Benitez. Why is this rumor bring bought to life? Alonso is playing and Liverpool are winning, besides Alonso was shopped around due to Liverpool wanting to bring in Gareth Berry. Thankfully those Berry rumor is dead and buried for the time being.
Djibril Cisse, currently on a season-long loan at Sunderland from Marseille, is set to become Roy Keane’s first £10m signing. (The Sun)

I’m convinced that Capello will play both Gerrard and Lampard together until the very end right or wrong. If he drops one of the two Capello along with the player who stays in the starting lineup will have to deal with the distraction of having the defend the choice.
