Champions League Match Day Two Review

- Enjoy whatever that was on Dimitar Berbatov face as that may be the closest thing to a smile you may see out of him. Nice giveaway by Aalborg captain Thomas Augustinussen to gift Berbatov his first goal for United.

- Had a strong feeling Porto wouldn’t be coming home with any points but losing 4-0 is horrible. Just an awful performance against an Arsenal side who did everything but score in their own net early in the contest. Porto couldn’t take advantage and Arsenal soon got in gear. Only positive is that Porto is still in second place after Fenerbahce Dynamo Kyiv played to a draw.

- You can’t keep playing for 0-0 ties Celtic. Dropping points in their first match at home more than likely ended any hopes of them advance to the round of 16.

- Juergen Klinsmann needed a performance from his Bayern Munich. What he ended up receiving was very different. The German Champions were lucky to walk away with a 1-1 draw against Lyon.

- Real Madrid in a tough road encounter against Zenit somehow held on for a 2-1 victory. Zenit can feel hard done by not being able to pick up points against Real Madrid and Juventus so far in the Champions League.

- Speaking of Juventus not exactly been a banner week for them drawing 2-2 against BATE Borisov to make it three straight draws. This isn’t the Champions League of 2005. If you don’t take teams seriously it can come back to haunt you.
