Can Manchester United Break The Jinx?
The Carling Cup starts up again over the next two days. In 2006 Southend defeated Manchester United 1-0 and last year the sky blues of Coventry city went into Old Trafford and walked away with a 2-0 victory. This year fellow premiership side Middlesborough comes calling trying to extend that losing run for another year. Considering how the rest of the year played out back in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing if United bowed out of the Carling Cup tomorrow.
