Arsene Wenger On Trasnfer Day….

Did Arsene Wenger even come into work on transfer day? On the day where Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were all trying to improve their club not even a rumor came about regarding a new Arsenal signing.

I do respect Arsenal for having a game plan in the transfer market and not waiting around until the final days and scrambling to find the right players. Usually at an increased cost but look at the players Arsenal bought in.

Ins: Mikael Silvestre (Man Utd, undisclosed), Aaron Ramsey (Cardiff, £5m), Samir Nasri (Marseille, undisclosed), Amaury Bischoff (Werder Bremen, undisclosed).

Outs: Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos, £1m), Alexander Hleb (Barcelona, £11.8m), Jens Lehmann (Stuttgart, free), Mathieu Flamini (AC Milan, free), Kerrea Gilbert (Leicester, loan), Nacer Barazite (Derby, loan), Armand Traore (Portsmouth, loan), Philippe Senderos (AC Milan, loan), Justin Hoyte (Middlesbrough, £3m).

How do you justify it that Arsenal spent in the transfer market just about exactly what they have raised through selling current players. Their fans pay a lot of money to sit in that always fill brand new stadium. I’ve picked Arsenal to win the EPL but it wouldn’t shock me again that Arsenal lack the depth and experience to finish off the job throughout a 38 game season. On the bright side we all get to see Emmanuel Eboué dazzle in the starting eleven for another season.
