Man City taken over by Abu Dhabi Group
By Soccernet staff
Manchester City have reportedly been taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment (ADUG).
The move sees the club’s former owner Dr Thaksin Shinawatra, former Prime Minister of Thailand, leave Eastlands after agreeing a deal to sell his share in the Premier League outfit.
This is the best news that Manchester City fans can wake up too. Thaksin Shinawatra was a fraud and clueless about running a football club from day one. The best thing he did was sell the club but somehow I feel he had no choice but to sell it to ease his money woes.
