Barça Preparing €25m Silva Move
Barcelona are preparing to make a €25m bid for David Silva when they return for the United States after talks over a new contract for the player with Valencia stalled.
Must give both Silva and Villa credit for one thing. Considering the forgettable season that each are coming off of with Valencia both haven’t made any comments publicly about wanting out in what was a toxic environment last season.
Atletico Madrid’s Reyes unhappy with Benfica terms
Atletico Madrid winger Jose Antonio Reyes is unhappy with the terms offered by Benfica.
Ok, so forget everything I said yesterday for now. Still think it is in Reyes best interest to move on as the market for his services hasn’t exactly been feverish.
FBK Kaunas 2-1 Rangers: Gers crash out
Rangers were sent crashing out of Europe when Linas Pilibaitis headed a late winner for FBK Kaunas to earn the hosts a 2-1 aggregate victory in their Champions League qualifier.
When your game plan every time is playing in a defensive shell it’s going to catch up to you at some point. No one aside from Rangers fan will shed many tears over this as it was their game to win and they failed doing so.
Gudjohnsen Confident Of Barça Stay
Despite rumoured to be on his way out of the Camp Nou, Barcelona’s Icelandic international Eidur Gudjohnsen is optimistic that he will stay on with the Catalan giants.
Gudjohnsen could be the 12th striker on the depth chart and he’d still would wish to play for Barcelona. Nothing wrong with that really and besides when the year is over Gudjohnsen still manages to get a fair bit of playing time.
Man City mull response to latest Thaksin reports
High-ranking Manchester City officials are in talks over their response to stories suggesting owner Thaksin Shinawatra is looking for investment into the Eastlands outfit.
If Manchester City sells Vedran Corluka to Tottenham then this report is 100% true which will spell trouble for Manchester City fans.
