Benfica have won the race to sign Real Zaragoza star Pablo Aimar.
Being a fan of Portuguese football (but not any one certain team) I’m happy Aimar choose to play for Benfica. Aimar is a class player which the Portuguese top league can always use.

Carlos Queiroz refused to be drawn out on the Cristiano Ronaldo saga during his official unveiling as the new Portugal coach on Wednesday afternoon.
Smart move, I’d stay as far away as possible from that tricky subject too. While Queiroz left United to coach Portugal I’m sure he’d love to return one day.
