Being a 3rd striker most weeks will not keep Berbatov happy for long. Its been alittle to quite on the transfer front for United. Last year they struck quickly with their signings of Anderson and Nani.
Arsenal have made an 11th-hour bid to hijack Liverpool’s protracted move for Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry. (Various)

Liverpool will use funds from the sale of Peter Crouch, Danny Guthrie and the imminent departure of Scott Carson to try and raise funds to buy Spurs striker Robbie Keane. (The Times)
Just do something Liverpool. They’ve been linked too Keane, Barry, Silva, Villa and so far only Andrea Dossena and Diego Cavalieri. The latter very much the backup this upcoming season.
Chelsea’s new signing Deco has left with a less than glowing reference from Barcelona president Joan Laporta, who said it was “great business. In the previous two seaons Deco was one of the players with the lowest level of performance.”
Laporta should be concerned with other things right now. Most importantly keeping his job as his job in charge of Barcelona is very much on thin rope.
