Laporta to remain as Barca president after vote
Barcelona president Joan Laporta survived a vote of confidence and will remain in office until 2010.
Often I think to myself what if North American teams were run like this. For example Matt Millen with the Detroit Lions. If it was up left in the fans hands to let him continue in his job Millen would of been gone along time ago. Millen if put up to a vote of confidence could well receive a 0% vote.
Ajax signs Sulejmani in record Dutch league transfer
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) – Miralem Sulejmani will play at Ajax next season, transferring from Heerenveen for a Dutch league record €16.25 million ($25.47 million).
Some scout at Heerenveen deserves a massive raise. First it was Alfonso Alves 13 million pound transfer to Middlesbrough. Then Sulejmani move to Ajax and soon enough Heerenveen will cash in on American Micahel Bradley.
Saviola Available at A Price
Javier Saviola has been put up for sale by Real Madrid amid reports of several interested sides, but he may have to lower his wage demands to secure a transfer.
Saviola should of never signed for Real Madrid in the first place. He left one massive club in Barcelona where he couldn’t crack the starting 11 and then signed for another massive club in Real Madrid that he wasn’t going to start for either.
