Pirlo Should Be Paid Like Kaka – Agent
Andrea Pirlo’s agent Tullio Tinti believes his client should be earning as much as Kaka. Pirlo is currently involved in talks to extend his contract but Milan do not seem willing to give the player a Dutch Bargain.
Who doesn’t respect Pirlo’s game? That being said players who play for a team that finished 5th last year have little leg to stand in when asking for a massive raise.
Matchfixing probe in Italy involves 5 Serie A players
ROME (AP) – Four Livorno players and an Atalanta player will face a disciplinary commission in a Serie A matchfixing probe, the Italian football federation said Friday.
Not exactly welcome news for Italian football.
Juventus boss Ranieri happy to risk fans backlash over Stankovic
Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri doesn’t fear any support backlash if they were to push through a deal for Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stankovic.
As Bobby Knight said if you start listening to the fans you’ll end up sitting next to them. Ranieri has to do what he feels is best for his club and let the chips fall where they may.
Atletico Madrid seals deal for France stopper Coupet
PARIS (AP) – France goalkeeper Gregory Coupet is leaving Lyon for Atletico Madrid.
Good move by Atletico signing Coupet. Moving up to Champions League football next year you want proven winners and players who have experienced last in the Champions League each of which Coupet checks off nicely.
