Just another example of the cat and mouse game being played. With Deco, Ballack, and Lampard in the fold one of those players will be disappointed with the lack of playing time. That could then disrupt the team. Inter has a price that their willing to pay and they want to make clear that their prepared to back off Lampard if Chelsea wishes to play hard ball.

Chelsea should now set their sights in giving Barcelona another ring in an attempt to sign Ronaldinho. There are only two teams that Ronaldinho would have a chance to discover his previous form. One is Chelsea, the other is playing alongside Kaka at A.C Milan.

Lehmann has to be considered a reporters dream. He never fails to give a quote that is sure to piss someone off. Someone would stick a tape recorder in Oliver Kahn’s face and ask him what he thought of Lehmann’s performance at Euro 2008. That would be another quote I’d be interested in hearing.

The main problem with Robinho is something he has very little control over. He was pegged to be the Messi or Ronaldo of Real Madrid and he isn’t in the class yet and may never live up to those lofty standards. No matter what else Robinho does if he doesn’t match up with the previous two whatever he does for Madrid is considered a disappointment.
