You’d have to think he is good as gone at this point. His contact extension was based upon Italy making it to the semi finals and they had to scratch and crawl just to make the knock out round. The Italian offence never got going highlited by the fact Luca Toni didn’t score a goal at Euro 2008. Even the notoriously famous brick wall of a D looked shaky at times.
Donadoni was always behind the 8-ball from day one since in the eyes of the Italian press/public he was merely a puppet of the FA and would never fill the shoes of Marcello Lippi. Never theory Donadoni was able to disprove at Euro 2008.
