Italians see red over disallowed goal blunder
Italian Football Federation president Giancarlo Abete has demanded an explanation from UEFA over his country’s disallowed goal during their 1-1 Euro 2008 draw against Romania.
Italians should see red over their performance the last two games. Luck may not of been on their side but nothing on this team would lead you to believe that this was the side which won the World Cup two years prior.
Mutu apologies to nation for penalty miss
BUCHAREST, June 14 (Reuters) – Romanian media on Saturday both praised and damned Adrian Mutu after scoring a goal and missing a penalty in a 1-1 draw against Italy at Euro 2008 — but he won backing from former great Gheorghe Hagi.
Mutu penalty was poor but the way he read Zambrotta on the first goal was top class. Most players would just stop and concede the pass back.
Adebayor Can’t Say No To Milan
