Ancelotti not interested in Chelsea vacancy
Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed any suggestion that he could become Chelsea’s new manager.
Not sure if its the right move for Ancelotti long term but its a decision I respect him for. It would be very easy for A.C Milan to fire Ancelotti after last season. If Ancelotti was coaching for any other big club he’d be gone. Frank Rijkaard was fired from Barcelona and he atleast kept them in the Champions League. Good to see that loyalty rewarded both ways between club and coach.
AC Milan in Sporting Lisbon talks for Veloso
AC Milan are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over Miguel Veloso.
Another year at Sporting wouldn’t hurt Veloso. Moving to Milan and playing behind Nesta, Pirlo, Ambrosini and Gattuso would hurt Veloso. In the current A.C Milan set up Veloso just doesn’t seem to be a right fit.
Sven confirmed as new Mexico manager
MEXICO CITY, June 3 (Reuters) – Former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson was named as the new coach of Mexico on Tuesday.
Provided he doesn’t promise the world and fail to get Mexico in the Olympics like Hugo Sanchez, Sven will do just fine.
Barça To Pay Ten Times More For Cáceres
Barcelona will pay ten times more for Martín Cáceres than Villarreal bought him for just 18 months ago when they clinch his signing this week.
That is a lot of money for a player that only has one year playing in Europe under his belt. Will be interesting if Cáceres can handle the pressure of playing for a big club like Barcelona.
