Ancelotti: We Must Beat Inter
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti knows that the only possible result against Inter this weekend is a win as his team continue the race for a Champions League spot.
This game takes even more interest after A.C Milan gained two points on Fiorentina in the race for 4th spot. Inter will not be in the mood to gift their cross town rivals any points with them being on the brink of another scudetto.
Spurs plan £16M bid for Valencia’s Villa
Tottenham are ready to offer £16 million for Valencia striker David Villa.
16 million pounds will not get it done. Tottenham paid that much money last year for Darren Bent and Villa is twice the player that Bent is. If Tottenham want to sign Villa it will be for Fernando Torres type money.
Lucho Issues Atlético Plea
Lucho González has sent out a come and get me plea to Atlético de Madrid after admitting that he wants to test himself in one of Europe’s strongest leagues and leave Porto.
Porto will sell them at some point, they know how to play the transfer game better then 99% of the clubs in world football. They made a nice return on most of the 2004 Champions League team and rebuilt the squad with players such like Pepe, Anderson, Ricardo Quaresma, Lisandro López and Lucho González. Porto will look to do the same with the players still remaining. Lucho should be given more consideration for the Argentinian national team but doesn’t due to playing in Portugal. Moving to Atletico and playing along side Sergio Agüero would increase his profile.
Moratti: Inter Milan like Roma’s Mancini
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti can’t rule out moving for Roma winger Amantino Mancini.
Inter could use the help in midfield while Roma knows they can’t look to break the bank in a transfer fee due to Mancini entering the last year of his contact. Something will be worked out in the summer that will see Mancini move on.
