EPL Gossip for Thursday April 10th

Chelsea could take Manchester City’s Andreas Isaksson or Thomas Sorensen of Aston Villa on emergency loan to cover their goalkeeping crisis (The Guardian).
I don’t see why either team would do Chelsea the favour. Their current goalie Hilário has always performed well when counted on. For a 3rd string goalie he sure gets a lot of action.
Dundee manager Alex Rae has dismissed Liverpool’s interest in 19-year-old midfielder Kevin McDonald, saying “sitting in the reserves won’t help him” (The Independent).
Rae is right but Liverpool can pay McDonald a lot more then Dundee can.
Manager Roy Keane says Sunderland are “beefing up” their European scouting network because of high transfer prices in Britain (Daily Star).
Smart move. Look at Fulham last season with all there signings from the Championship. Diomansy Kamara for example is not worth 12 million dollars. You can buy a player with the same skill set from an European based club for 1/3 the cost.
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi says it is “very likely” striker Andriy Shevchenko will return to the club from Chelsea. Berlusconi is godfather to the player’s first son (The Sun).
The last place Shevchenko should go to is A.C Milan. Already been discussed in my fall of A.C Milan article (cheap plug)
Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor says there will be big changes at the end of the season following their Champions League failure (Daily Star).
I’m sure he will going the boss and say sell Nicklas Bendtner.
Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy has agreed a new £40,000-a-week contract to stay until 2011 (Daily Mail).
With the down season McCarthy has had I’m sure he didn’t think twice about signing that contact.
