EPL Gossip Saturday April 5th

England striker Peter Crouch could be on his way out of Liverpool in the summer after becoming an after-thought in boss Rafa Benitez’s strategy. (Daily Mail)
I like Crouch. He has never been hyped up and always fought to everything he got in his career. It’s clear that Benitez doesn’t have plans for him and he should look for another club. I’m sure 16 out of the 20 EPL teams would love to make a move for him.
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan was at Ibrox on Thursday to watch Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio and midfielder Miguel Veloso play Rangers. (Daily Mail).
Patricio maybe, He is still 20 so it’s too early to move but Patricio will be a good goalie for many years to come. Veloso no chance.
Manchester City are the latest Premier League club showing an interest in taking Brazilian star Ronaldinho from Barcelona. (Daily Mail).
Manchester City bug me. I think they float these rumors to make it seem like top class players have an interest in playing for City. Ronaldinho would have much better options then a move to Manchester City. Manchester City and Peter Crouch however that makes sense.
Chelsea manager Avram Grant is interested in Ajax’s £25million-rated striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. (Daily Mirror)
If Avram Grant doesn’t lead his team to the Champions League Semi Finals he won’t have a say in who Chelsea sign in the summer transfer window.
England defender Rio Ferdinand is set to sign a new five-year contract with Manchester United, keeping him at the club until he is 34. (Sun)
He’ll be grossly overpaid by 34.
American goalkeeper Kasey Keller is willing to stay with Fulham even if they are relegated this season. (Daily Star)
He’ll be 40 next year, his options should be limited anyway.
Italian giants Roma are the latest club to show interest in misfit Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko. (Daily Mail).
Good fit there. Roma lacked a striker vs Manchester United. While Shevchenko can’t run worth a lick put him 10 yards from goal and he can find the back of the net.
